I have only 2 more days of this workout. Boy, do I feel stronger, trimmed down, and much more fit. This past week was probably the toughest because it had 5 straight days of workouts. The week peaked on Day 25 with Game Day and Overtime. Below is a quick summary of thought about each day.
Day 22 – Rest
I did nothing and boy did my body need the break.
Day 23 – Speed and Agility
The feet are moving a lot quicker and I stop kicking the ladder as much as I did when I first started the program. The workout is still no joke, but because my agility has improved, it has become easier.
Day 24 – Strength
I finished most of the exercises with the DVD. I was breathing hard, but I was able to hang. The form did suffer, but my focus today was to make sure my heart rate remained elevated as I pushed. I have not been using heavy weight, nor do I think you really have to since their is a aerobic component to this workout.
Day 25 – Game Day and Overtime
At the end of this workout, I was not on the floor like I was after the first time. Overtime is still difficult because I was was so tired after the first hour of Game Day. Although, it is the longest workout, it is the most fun. I still and will always hate the ice skating exercises. They are not joke!
Day 26 – Vertical Plyo
Again, I am just impressed with the level of improvement I have made with my athletic skills. My jumping and control is vastly improved. I remember back when I first did P90X pylo. That workout is and was no joke. I could not jump successively for too many jumps. Not only because my legs were weak, but also because my wind was non-existent. Today, I can jump with the best of them and I can control my breathing to the point where I can jump out a few extra although my legs say, ‘No.”
Day 27 – Back to Core
Core is stronger. Reverse plank is still weak, but it is much stronger than it was. My back is in a lot better shape. I know this is is true because I stopped working out this muscle after I completed P90X. This is a great workout to get the complete core strong and fit. I like it
Day 28 – Relief
This 23 minute stretching routine is fantastic. It feels really good as it hits all the muscles I destroyed during the past 5 day. I capped off this night with Shakeology to replenish the nutrients and minerals in my body.
